The problem is they’re all playing 5th Edition and I find myself struggling with some of the 3.5 Edition rules.

I’ve watched hours of live play from Matt and also from Acquisitions Incorporated. I’ve bought a ton of books the 3.5 core books (Player Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide and Monster Manual) some supplemental books (DMG2, MM4, Unearthed Arcana, a few others) and some old modules (Against the Cult of the Reptile God, The Village of Homlett, and Red Hand of Doom which was actually released for 3.5). I’ve watched every video Matt Colville’s made on D&D, many of them multiple times now, and he’s clearly my chosen mentor. Since I rediscovered it in that mystical pizza shop, I’ve been struggling to learn and unlearn every aspect of the game. I loved it, and I’ve always loved it since but I had no idea how far from it I’d gotten as the time went by. As I mentioned in my founding post, I grew up on D&D in the 80’s, especially from ’84-’89 when I was 11-16 years old.
